Morioka visit

I wanted to share more photos of Morioka with you. These photos were taken on the second day, 16th June. 

In the morning, I went out for a walk by the river. And saw beautiful irises! 

前回の更新から、しばし空いてしまいました。先日の盛岡での写真をもう少し。滞在2日目の朝、上の橋のたもとに満開のカキツバタの群生を発見。うっとりするくらい美しく、天気も良く、川も太陽の光を受けてキラキラ輝き、しばしぼーっとしてしまいました。こんな良い環境が街の真ん中にある盛岡、本当に素晴らしい。

After spending half an hour looking at the irises, then I went to Konya-cho area to see the antique market which is held once a month.  I only bought a piece of old kimono fabric but really wanted to buy some antique glasses. 

盛岡になぜ一泊したのかというと、毎月第三日曜日に紺屋町というエリアで開かれる、月に一度のアンチック市を見るためだったのです。

紺屋町には、かの有名なこのお店もあります！いつか南部鉄のオイルパンが欲しいなぁ

This is an iron craft shop near the market.  

このお店も有名！店先にかざられた、でっかいタワシが目印。

そして、自分へのお土産は、チャグチャグ馬コのモナカ。愛らしく、そしておいしい。
